A High Ropes Course for Zoo de Bordeaux Pessac
Climbing above tigers, giraffes & more
The KristallTurm® map continues to grow: since July 2026, one of our High Ropes Courses has been enhancing the visitor experience at Zoo de Bordeaux Pessac – making it the first KristallTurm® in France. With a compact KT-6, the zoo has added an active adventure attraction for visitors of all ages.
Zoo de Bordeaux Pessac is known for experiences that go far beyond a traditional zoo visit. Guests can even spend the night in exclusive lodges overlooking the enclosures of lions, jaguars or tigers. Since July 2026, the zoo has added another highlight: a new 18-metre-high KristallTurm® High Ropes Course (KT-6).
In the climbing tower, guests enjoy bird’s-eye views of the zoo while taking on challenges at height. Across three levels, a total of 27 climbing elements range from easy to difficult. At full capacity, up to 35 guests can climb at the same time. Thanks to the free choice of routes, climbers can still move independently without getting in each other’s way.
Below the first level of the tower, a dedicated kids´ course has been integrated. It was extended by two additional poles, creating even more climbing options and capacity. Here, children under 8 can safely enjoy their first climbing adventures at a lower height.
Installation in a very limited space
The High Ropes Course was installed right in the middle of the zoo, which meant that the available space was precisely defined and highly limited. When the goal is to create a high adventure value in a compact area, KristallTurm® Micro models such as the KT-6 are an ideal solution. The tower requires only around 220 m² of ground space and fits perfectly into the zoo’s existing concept.
With climbing elements at different difficulty levels, the course appeals to a wide range of target groups – from experienced climbers to complete beginners. Especially for families, children and groups, it creates an additional attraction that makes a visit to the zoo even more varied and memorable.
