The first KristallTurm® High Ropes Course in New Zealand

A Milestone at the other end of the world

Our KristallTurm® High Ropes Courses can now be found all over the world. However, it’s always something special when a new country is added — as was the case recently with New Zealand.

This KristallTurm® High Ropes Course traveled around 18,300 kilometers from our KT headquarters in Lenggries, Upper Bavaria, to its new home in Auckland, New Zealand. It is now fully assembled on the grounds of the Wero Whitewater Park. The climbing facility spans 13 poles and 3 levels, allowing up to 100 people to climb simultaneously. 78 climbing elements of varying difficulty levels offer an exceptional outdoor experience for every fitness level and all ages. Special highlights include an abseiling station, a walk the plank, and a pole walk that connects the first and second levels with several wobbly stilts. The tower is particularly impressive at night, when it is illuminated in a variety of vibrant colors.

Themed climbing elements: Mastering challenges like the Maori once did

Some of the climbing elements pick up on the theme of Maori – the indigenous people of New Zealand – and thus create a unique combination of climbing adventure and culture. Children and young people can learn more about the history and challenges of the indigenous people of New Zealand and take on a climbing challenge or two themselves.

The new High Ropes Course is a project of the New Zealand foundation Waka Pacific, which is dedicated to supporting children and young people in the form of various projects. What makes it special: The high ropes course was financed purely through crowdfunding. It took several years to complete. The joy of the finished climbing facility is all the greater now.
